Dr. Norman J. Leve, Jr., is the founder and senior pastor of New Life Christian Church. A native of Bucks County, Dr. Leve was born and raised in Trevose, PA. After graduating from Bensalem High School in 1969, he relocated to Wilmore, Kentucky to do his undergraduate work at Asbury University and then his theological studies at Asbury Seminary. His undergrad work included a major in secondary education in public speaking, with a minor in psychology. He is a Kentucky Colonel which is an award presented by the State of Kentucky in recognition for outstanding leadership within the community. In 1976, he returned to his native Bucks County to pastor the Washington Crossing United Methodist Church for 17 years. After years of church growth, in 1992 he received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew Theological Seminary. He has taught growth seminars and has done a variety of evangelistic outreach ministries including work in the prisons. He has traveled to many foreign lands, including the country of Estonia where he spent three months training prison chaplains.
In 1993, Dr. Leve started New Life Christian Church in a warehouse on Walker Lane in Newtown, PA. The congregation grew and in 1996 moved to its present location on Freedom Drive. Dr. Leve continues to shepherd the flock with a relevant Biblical ministry in a changing world.
